Time for a short update.. Haha.. Been pretty tired recently trying to revamp a lab, by tearing down the computers (that are old), carrying them down one level to the library for storage and waiting for the new computers to come. aaha... How i wish i can happily bring one set of the desktop home.. Haha.. Intel Centrino, 1.7Ghz, 80GB HDD la.. Got burner drive also.. So jealous lor.. Ok.. Haha

Anyway while carrying the monitors and preventing it from dropping from the steps, i hurt my thumb.. haha.. then it bled.. lol.. Tomorrow's gonna be NCC day, then will be reaching school about 7am in the morning, earlier than my usual wake up time.. sigh.. my last parade before NS.. heh.. recently i had been quite sadistic so hopefully i wun be tomorrow. =)

Emerge has long been over, and my last post was like 3 weeks ago!! This shows how busy I am (ya right.. hehe..)

Life as usual is full of adventures and downfalls but God never failed to leave me and even brought me through my tough times to greater heights with him. Let's see what I can update on..

Recently came back from a 2 day outreach camp at Bedok North Sec and my group members actually celebrated my birthday, at Clarke Quay! haha.. with tiramisu and it had been a fun day with the guys as we were out for amazing race and just so while waiting for the station master to come.. Heee..
What else.. Getta Life event accomplished just 3 days before.. The planning was great, with the right people and at the right timing.. People who participated was great and my younger bro came along and I was glad that he enjoyed it too.. We went around the Orchard-Somerset-Dhoby Ghaut area.. Fun eh? Haha.. Then the last stop was at Expo. And I'm really glad for the bonding we had among each other throughout the game! Getta Life 2 shall return!!

Oh, and thank God for the promotion in my ministry to be a helper in my team!! Hehe.. So like straight after promotion got to do communion ic and bravo arena.. So cool ar. haha.. And it's not as fun as before when I could still go around talking to my members or ushers (oops!) while serving coz the job scopes this time has widened a lot. real lot... But at least it wasn't as hectic as before the last time when I almost freak out just by taking attendance for 3 sub zones. heh.. Expansion of capacity.. I like! :P (next stop, Team leader!)

What else.. Thank God for new friends too and the deeper fellowship with each other, regardless of ppl outside or within my cell group and esp to 1. If she's reading it I think she knows I'm referring to her. Glad to know you as a great friend and your expressions over the phone just never fail to interest me la. :P

Other than that.. shouldn't have anything else.. wanna blog about the happy things here.. heee..

Haha, sorry guys I haven't been blogging..

I was pretty busy with my church's Emerge conference for the last 4 days (1st to 4th June and I must say it's an exciting event!!) then still trying to recover from the tiredness I'd gained for that 4 days even till now. It's kind of crazy going home at 12 plus everyday except sun la (11plus pm but it didn't make much of a difference, haha..) but everything's worth it!! Haha.. Gonna briefly blog about what happened for the 4 days. =)

Thu 1st June.

I'd managed to get a ride from Don to Bedok after work (which would make my travel to Expo easier) and reached church around 6.15pm and quickly chiong down to Echo for duty.. Haha.. (I wonder why my section always get to do Echo, and it's like 75% of where we usually serve in. Lol..) and wow, I must say the crowd was amazing for the 1st night but haiz, still got empty seats in between terraces. Still it was a good job done and made a new usher friend, Jennifer. Lol.. Very interesting person. Haha.. Anyway it was the opening night and so there was the POS to start the ball rolling and the POS just get better each year, especially if the peeps you know are doing it, which makes things much more enjoyable, seeing them giving up their time to make their performance so great, and of course for a greater purpose! =) And pastor preached a very good message too, which I'm going to collate in a separate post. Anyway the whole svc ended at 10.30pm but because I was helping out with busing, waited for B.Eric to finish Oscar duties plus keeping logistics for traffic, ended up leaving Expo at 12.30pm (the latest so far) and reaching home at 12.50am via cab.. Got scolded for being home so late, oops! Haha..

Fri, 2nd June.

Reached church at 5.15pm as I was on cab and I managed to get time off from work.. Initially I was supposed to become A4 runner but dunno why my post was taken without informing but oh well, thank God still got that serving heart so didn't complain. =) So went to do external traffic with my fellow section mates! I love them the most in usher ministry le!! =] Went to do traffic 3 that's at the MRT station. Haha.. Met this sister that had joined UM for 3 months and just finished training and fellowshipped with her. Somehow I think it's God's arrangement for me to bless her with my testimony plus counselling... Coz what she's going through now was what I broke through from like issues with my family members etc. Praise God for that!! Anyway after that had to go report for altar call duty with ee rong etc. Then was quite blessed for that night coz I was able to sit at the 1st row of seats in front of the stage where the pastors and guests were seating.. So pretty good view of Pastor Kong.. Shiok sia.. That made me enjoy the service even more. Haha.. Then there was surprise guests in the church!! Guess who! Kellie Poon, Junyang from Project Superstar plus Taufik from Singapore Idol!!! Never thought of ppl like them coming to my church but they did!! Haha.. So cool man.. Then straight after service go do busing and off on the shuttle bus i go home! Haha.. Didn't stay back to help S.Chin, kind of felt bad but sigh....

Sat, 3rd June.

Reported for duty at 12pm instead of 8am (was too lazy and tired to wake up) so ended up I didn't help out for preaching cum personal testimony challenge. Heh.. Anyway I served in Talentime and I must say that it's great!! Listening to people sing, hosting and not to forget making funny faces etc, just too many things including beatboxing, how cool is that!!!! Then straightaway go for Session 4 duty at Alpha. So funny to hear Brian complaining about our section doing Alpha but at least to him it was better than doing zone Echo. Lol.. Had difficulties fillling crowds in the first place as many ppl are super unwilling to give up their reserved seats and I dunno why but I just find myself smiling more at congregation to speak to them nicely.. Haha.. That's something I don't usually do leh. Haha and the congreagation was nice still. Lol.. Great achievement to fill up all the seats in my zone and I even have to squeeze with an usher for 1 seat! Lol.. First time I see the hall being filled with laying of extra chairs and all the chairs are laid la, in 6 months since Christmas. Lol.. You don'teven find this much ppl attending conferences too. Lol.. Well, as usual there's always a surprise for every night session, so for that day, Sun came back!! Haha.. Been 1 yr plus since we last saw her le.. Somehow it's like a mini concert every night la, rather than a youth conference. =X but the programme line up is super duper great. Everyone was like so high when we knew Sun came back as Special guest. Lol.. Then ended up the whole service was 4hr 40 mins long and amazingly most ppl manage to tahan! Haha.. How commited are our members man. Lol..
Went for short fellowship with Xue'er and Lifang before heading home at yet 12 plus in the morning. Ha.

Sunday, 4th June.

Attended Session 5 with my cell group (Finally!!) after 3 months straight of serving? Lol.. In any case the morning service was like the usual Sunday service and not really much of programme going on and it sort of ended early too. Lol.. Anyway after service stayed back for debrief, coz we were 'celebrating' Yuan shan's farewell to NS that's on 10th June and also my bday!! Haha.. Must thank the people as usually when I do birthdays, ppl get one slice of cake and I had one myself last yr but this yr I got one complete cake, about 500g!! Haha.. Strawberry chocolate!! Hee. Quite surprised with that coz I only expected one slice of cake for myself. Lol. Then got the card *nicely done by my pal cum mother* lol.. and a top which I quite like but sadly it's a bit translucent and short.. Well I'll do sth about it de. Hahah!!! But anyway I was supposed to report for Spelling Bee duty but ended up I was there watching. Before that had my 3rd fellowship with UM for the 6 months since I first joined. Got Xin yan (don't remember I worked with her before but somehow she manage to get my name when I did Traffic 3 on Fri), Ee Rong, Agnes and Chun Meng. haha.. It was pretty fun and got to know how bad can things be when girls get angry. haha.. Anyway after Spelling Bee we went to report for Session 6 duty, did external traffic yet again! Haha.. This time got quite a bit of cock up but manage to solve it in time. Kind of unforgettable on that day leh.. But seriously it's nice to work with my section mates and they are the best ushers around! Haha.. Anyway during service I was asked to fill up guest seats (again) and this is the best thing I can ask so far about seating arrangements! My seat was just next to the centre zone, 3rd row front the front. You practiacally get a full view of the whole stage la! How wonderful can that be when a lot of time you only get to sit at terraces. Lol! Anyway service ended at 9.40pm (again yea). Helped to clear the hall by removing the chairs as we are gonna move to hall 1 for the next 1 month since we are expanding the terraces in hall 8 etc. Haha.. Anyway finished those by 10.30pm and I was quite surprised that both Adelyn and Adeline came for service. Haha.. I just simply pray they will continue to stay with the Lord. ;P Anyway I quickly went home after duty as I needed to sleep!! Haha..

So that;s all for the 4 days of emerge for me!

Shall blog about other things next time!! Tomorrow gonna buy new phone N7370, after which I'm gonna be away for 2 days of youth camp and hope I won't get birthday bash in a camp. Lol.. tata!!
